The best moisturizer – Comfort Zone Hydramemory Cream Gel

I’m a relatively simple gal when it comes to makeup. I wear it on occasion but I am not one to have a full face on. Now that doesn’t mean I don’t love makeup! I definitely enjoy it but just prefer being more natural for the most part. Moisturizing is a whole ‘notha story, though.

I firmly believe that it is so important to give your skin some hydration. I always notice in the winter that my skin gets so dry…but even in the summer, there is no feeling quite like the cool crisp sensation of putting my favorite moisturizer on my face!

Ones that didn’t work…

Over the years, I have tried a ton of different moisturizers. Ranging from Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar to Origins A Perfect World…and even some store bought Aveeno Facial Moisturizer.

I even tried out the Rodan + Fields Redefine line a while back to give it a go. I broke out pretty bad with it and was super bummed. Nick, on the other hand, loved it…he said his face never felt better. Just goes to show you that one moisturizer that works great for one person may not be the best one for you.

The Best One Yet – Comfort Zone Hydramemory

For me, the best one yet came as a little miracle in one of my Birchbox boxes.

Boxes. I just had to get the word box in there one more time.

While I no longer subscribe to Birchbox (I turned to FabFitFun instead, which you can read about it this post) I found Comfort Zone’s Hydramemory Cream Gel and rejoiced.

Hydramemory Cream Gel

I made that little sucker (aka: trial size of the cream) last as long as I could. I had never found a facial moisturizer that I loved so much.

I ended up purchasing the full size, which was surprising because: It was over $50.

Being a #thriftygal, I don’t like to pay exorbitant prices and since I had already spent an arm and a leg on trying the Rodan + Fields creams, I was a bit nervous for buying the full size version. What if I just made myself think I liked the travel size…and it really doesn’t mesh well with me once I am using it every day?

Hydration in a Jar!

It came in and I absolutely LOVED it. My face had never felt better with it than when I started using it daily since I was no longer rationing a tiny trial size. I love it so much so that I used THE ENTIRE JAR. This is the first time that I have loved a product so much that I literally scraped the bottom of it to get it all out.

And the best thing is that it doesn’t irritate my skin! Can I get a woot woot?!

It feels so refreshing after a nice hot bath and my skin just drinks this stuff up like no other!

Some of my favorite things about this cream are:

  • No parabens
  • No artificial colors
  • No mineral oils

Intrigued, my friends? If so, you can buy here at Birchbox or on Amazon!

Don’t mess with a good thing…

After I hit the bottom of the jar, I popped open one of the facial creams that I hadn’t used while waiting for my next jar of Comfort Zone to arrive.

My face broke out and I asked the my CZ for forgiveness when it arrived. It obliged and my face is happy and moisturized again.

While it is definitely on the pricier side (in the sixty dollar range), it is well worth the money for those who are super sensitive to pretty much anything like me.

Let me know in the comments what your favorite facial moisturizer is!
